What is beatlemania?
Beatlemania is the correct term used to refer to the crazed fans of the British band, The Beatles.
The 1960s was a prime time for The Beatles, their career took off and fans loved them. Within just four years The Beatles got signed to Capitol Records, and had already released two #1 albums in the UK. Their singles also held the top five spots on the Billboard Hot 100. On July 10th, 1964, their first movie A Hard Day's Night was released. Not to mention that in that same summer they toured New Zealand and Australia. In this same year, they released seven albums in the U.S and in the UK.
One year later The Beatles held a concert in August of 1965, at Shea Stadium, where about 55-thousand crazed fans showed up! They basically defined a stadium concert. The Beatles were then honored with becoming Members of the Order of the British Empire, which is usually presented upon military and government officials.
